6 months and up
⚡ Quick answer
Lamb liver is rich in iron and vitamin B12; from 6 months onward it can be given well cooked and mashed in small amounts.
How to serve it by age?
6-8 months
Puree boiled lamb liver with a vegetable and introduce it in a very small amount.
9-12 months
Give it well mashed, mixed into soup or a vegetable dish.
12+ months
Offer as well-cooked small pieces, no more than once a week.
🫁 Choking risk and safe serving
Although it has a soft texture, pieces can be swallowed; give it as a smooth puree at a young age, and well mashed in later months, under supervision.
📌 Watch out for these
- Because it is high in vitamin A, do not exceed one portion a week.
- Cook it thoroughly; do not leave the inside pink or raw.
- Prefer liver from a fresh and reliable source, and cook it without letting it sit.
