Ingredients

Directions

  1. 1

Preheat the oven to 180°C and line a tray with baking paper.

  2. 2

Put the ripe bananas in a bowl and mash thoroughly with a fork until smooth.

  3. 3

Add the rolled oats, stir, and let the mixture rest for 5 minutes so the oats soften and absorb the moisture.

  4. 4

Add the finely chopped raisins, a pinch of cinnamon and the olive oil, and mix.

  5. 5

Using a wet spoon, scoop small mounds onto the tray and gently flatten each with your finger.

  6. 6

Bake at 180°C for 12-15 minutes, until the edges turn lightly golden.

  7. 7

Let them cool completely on the tray; break into small bites to suit your child's age and serve.

🌱 Why is it nourishing?

Oats provide fibre and slow-release energy, while ripe banana adds natural sweetness, potassium and B-group vitamins. With no added sweeteners, these soft cookies make a gentle finger treat that little ones can hold and eat on their own. Their fibre content can also gently support digestion in growing children.

Maiyko's note

The only sweetener in these cookies is ripe banana — the riper the banana, the more naturally sweet they become. At Maiyko we value simplicity at the table as much as the organic cotton that touches little ones' delicate skin.
