Ingredients

Directions

  1. 1

Wash your hands and the bowl, spoon and moulds you will use. Rinse the fruit under running water; peel and pit the peach, hull the strawberries and slice the banana.

  2. 2

Place the peach, strawberries and banana in a bowl and mash with a fork or blend until smooth. Do not add any sugar or sweetener; the fruit's own sweetness is enough.

  3. 3

Gently mix the fruit purée with the full-fat plain yogurt until you have a smooth, even mixture.

  4. 4

Pour the mixture into small ice-cream moulds or ice-cube trays. For choking safety, prefer soft silicone moulds or small cups served with a spoon rather than hard sticks.

  5. 5

Freeze the moulds for about 3-4 hours, until fully set.

  6. 6

Take them out of the freezer 5-10 minutes before serving; wait until they soften to a texture that can be scooped easily with a spoon rather than being rock-hard. Very hard frozen pieces can pose a choking risk.

  7. 7

Serve fresh in small spoonfuls while your child is seated and supervised.

🌱 Why is it nourishing?

Full-fat plain yogurt is a dairy food rich in protein and calcium, which can gently contribute to balanced nutrition during this period. Ripe summer fruits such as peach, strawberry and banana are rich in vitamin C, fibre and water; they can be a refreshing option on warm days. Because it is prepared without added sugar, using the fruit's own sweetness, it gives your child room to discover the real taste of fruit. With its cool, soft texture it can be an enjoyable snack alternative during the summer months.
