⚠️ Contains allergens: milk
Ingredients
- 200 g Full-fat yogurt
- 200 g Watermelon (seeds removed)
- 1 tablespoon Rolled oats
- 2-3 leaves Fresh mint leaves
Directions
- 1
Wash the watermelon slice, cut away the rind and place the pink flesh on a cutting board.
- 2
Carefully pick out all visible seeds one by one; make sure no small swallowable pieces remain.
- 3
Cut the watermelon into small cubes (about 1 cm) that your child can chew comfortably.
- 4
Whisk the yogurt in a bowl until smooth and creamy, then spread it into a serving bowl.
- 5
Arrange the watermelon cubes over the yogurt.
- 6
Sprinkle the oats on top — if you like, lightly toast them first in a dry pan for 1-2 minutes — and add finely chopped fresh mint.
- 7
Serve immediately while cool; this bowl is at its best fresh, so avoid letting it sit.
🌱 Why is it nourishing?
With its high water content, watermelon can support little ones' fluid intake on hot summer days, and it is a source of vitamins A and C. Yogurt provides calcium and protein, which can contribute to growing bones. With sweetness that comes only from the fruit itself, this bowl makes a light and refreshing snack.
Maiyko's note
All the sweetness in this bowl comes from the watermelon itself — simple as it is, it makes a delightful summer treat for little ones. At Maiyko we believe in the same simplicity at the table as in clothing: natural materials and a gentle touch.
