Red Lentil Puree — An Iron-Friendly, Soft Recipe for 7+ Months
A velvety, soft solid-food recipe made with iron-rich red lentils and no added seasoning. A gentle option for your baby from the seventh month.
Ingredients
- 3 tablespoons Red lentils
- 1 piece Carrot (small, chopped)
- 1/2 piece Potato (small, chopped)
- 1.5 cups Drinking water or homemade vegetable broth
- 1 teaspoon Olive oil
Directions

Rinse the red lentils a few times and drain.

Chop the carrot and potato into small pieces.

Place the lentils, carrot and potato in a pot and add enough water to cover.

Cook over low heat for about 20 minutes, until the vegetables and lentils are very soft.

Let it cool slightly, then blend until smooth.

Stir in a teaspoon of olive oil and serve warm to your baby.
