Ingredients

Directions

  1. 1

If the dates are not already pitted, slit them lengthwise on one side and remove the pits (do not cut all the way through).

  2. 2

Wipe the walnuts with a damp cloth; halve any very large pieces.

  3. 3

Place a walnut half inside each date and gently press the edges closed.

  4. 4

Optionally sprinkle a pinch of cinnamon over the top.

  5. 5

If you like, roll the dates in desiccated coconut.

  6. 6

Arrange on a serving plate and serve at room temperature; keep any leftovers in a closed container for a few days.

🌱 Why is it nourishing?

With their natural sugars and iron content, dates may help support your energy in tired moments. Walnuts add healthy fats and plant-based protein, making the snack more satisfying. Because it requires no cooking and comes together in a few minutes, it can be a practical option to have on hand on busy days.
