Beef and Vegetable Stew — A Filling, Iron- and Protein-Rich Meal for Mothers

Tender-cooked beef meets carrot, potato and tomato. A warm, filling meal that contributes iron and protein for breastfeeding and postpartum mothers.

    Finely chop the onion; lightly sauté it in the olive oil.

    Add the cubed beef and sear until the colour changes.

    Add the diced carrot and potato and stir for a few minutes.

    Add the grated tomato, water and black pepper; cover and simmer on low heat until the meat and vegetables are well softened.

    If you like, add a little salt to taste and serve warm.
