A smooth, additive-free first fruit purée made from ripe banana. From 6 months on, its natural sweetness and soft texture make it an easy meal your baby can enjoy on the complementary-feeding journey.
Ingredients
- 1 medium Ripe banana (peeled)
- 1-2 tablespoons Breast milk, formula or warm boiled water (for consistency, optional)
Directions
- 1
Wash your hands and the bowl and fork you will use.

Peel the ripe banana and remove any thin strings.
- 3
Cut the banana into small pieces; make sure it is soft enough to mash easily with a fork.
- 4
Mash the banana pieces with a fork, or blend briefly until smooth.
- 5
If it is too thick, add breast milk, formula or warm boiled water to reach a consistency your baby can swallow easily.
- 6
Serve fresh at room temperature with a spoon; offer only as much as you have freshly prepared, without storing.
- 7
Introduce each new fruit one at a time with 3-day gaps and watch your baby's reactions.
🌱 Why is it nourishing?
With its natural sweetness and soft texture, banana is an easy first fruit for babies just starting complementary foods. It contains potassium, vitamin B6 and a small amount of fibre; its smooth consistency can be a comfortable choice for babies getting used to a spoon. Prepared plainly with nothing added, it offers a simple, naturally mild flavour at your baby's meal.
