Baby tooth structure?

Baby tooth eruption generally begins around the 6th month, but can vary for each baby from the 4th month to 12 months. The first teeth to come in are usually the lower front incisor teeth (lower central incisors), followed by the upper front incisors. By age 2.5-3, all 20 baby teeth are expected to be complete.

Signs seen during tooth eruption include slight restlessness, increased saliva, swelling and tenderness of the gums, desire to chew, and slight fever (usually not exceeding 38°C). If there is fever above 38°C, diarrhea, or rash, this may not be related to teeth but could be a sign of a separate infection — you should consult a pediatrician.

To ease teething: clean, chilled (not frozen) teething rings, gentle gum massage with a clean cloth, or with doctor approval, appropriate age-based pain relief gel can be used. After the tooth comes in, brushing twice daily with a soft baby toothbrush (with a pea-sized amount of fluoride toothpaste) is recommended.
