How many days does baby tooth come out?

While the time it takes for a tooth to come in varies from baby to baby, generally speaking: a tooth breaking through the gum and becoming fully visible usually takes 3 to 7 days. However, in some babies this process finishes in a few days, while in others it can take two weeks. Swelling and sensitivity in the gums can start days before the tooth appears. This process, most commonly seen in babies between 6-12 months, can be accompanied by fussiness, increased drooling, slight fever (below 38°C), and decreased appetite. If fever rises above 38°C or extreme fussiness lasts more than 3-4 days, there may be another cause besides teething—consulting your pediatrician is important.
