Baby nasal itching?

Baby nasal itching usually stems from three main causes:

1. Dryness—Especially in winter or air-conditioned rooms, nasal passages dry out and itch. Saline drops help with moisture.

2. Allergic reaction—If sneezing, drainage, and eye itching come together, consider allergies to dust, pollen, or pet dander.

3. Cold starting—Nasal itching with discharge and congestion can signal an incoming viral upper respiratory infection.

When to see a doctor:

• If itching comes with nosebleeds
• If baby is fussy, sleep is disrupted, or feeding refusal happens
• If it lasts longer than 1 week
• If fever, cough, or green/yellow drainage appears

First home step: boost room humidity (aim for 50-55%) and clean nose 2-3 times daily with saline solution.
