For the newborn period, a tub with back support, a non-slip bottom, and one that keeps baby upright is ideal — this prevents baby from slipping into the water. From 6-8 months, when baby starts to sit, you can move to a larger model that allows more independent sitting. A thermometer-equipped tub is convenient but not a necessary expense; checking water temperature with your wrist works fine. For most families, collapsible models are practical because they take up little space. Regardless of brand, what matters is rinsing and drying the tub after each use to prevent mold — for baby bathing, the real important things are having water at 37-38°C, keeping baths to 5-10 minutes, and never leaving baby alone.
