Ingredients

Directions

  1. 1

Wash the apricots well. Bring water to a boil, blanch the apricots for 30 seconds, then transfer to cold water; this makes the skins easy to peel.

  2. 2

Peel them, halve them, remove the pits, and chop into small pieces.

  3. 3

Steam the apricot pieces for 6-8 minutes, until soft enough to mash easily with a fork.

  4. 4

Transfer the softened apricots to a bowl and mash thoroughly with a fork, or blend for a smoother texture.

  5. 5

If needed, add the boiled, cooled water a little at a time to reach the flowing consistency your baby enjoys.

  6. 6

Serve warm, close to body temperature. Remember to introduce each new fruit on its own, three days apart.

🌱 Why is it nourishing?

With its soft texture and natural sweetness, apricot is a gentle fruit choice for solid foods from 7 months. Its fiber content may support digestion, and its high water content can contribute to your baby's fluid intake on hot summer days. The smooth texture is easy to swallow for babies new to spoon-feeding and offers a sweet taste with no added sweeteners.
