Prayer/supplication for postpartum mothers?

Praying for a postpartum mother is very valuable — both to give her spiritual support and to ask for healing and strength during this delicate time. Here are the most well-known prayers from authentic sources:

1. Mary's Postpartum Prayer (Quran):

This is the finest example in the Quran itself for the exhaustion and pains after birth.

> *"My Lord, I seek Your protection from what I have given birth to (sorrow over having a daughter)."* (Qur'an 3:36 — meaning as a prayer context)

But a more commonly known verse that a postpartum mother can read:

> *"My Lord, grant me from You a good offspring. Indeed, You hear all prayers."* (Qur'an 3:38)

2. The Prophet's Healing Prayer (Authentic Hadith):

The Prophet used to read this prayer to the sick and blow on them. It can be recited for postpartum mother's pains or weakness.

> *"Remove the hardship, Lord of the people. Cure, for You are the Healer. There is no cure but Your cure, a cure that leaves no illness behind."*
