How to sterilize baby bottles and pacifiers by boiling?

Boiling bottles and pacifiers is a safe sterilization method applied before first use and at regular intervals. Here are the steps:

First wash the bottle, pacifier, and cap thoroughly with warm soapy water and rinse well. Fill a large pot with enough clean water to cover all the pieces. Bring the water to a boil, then place all parts into the pot—be careful to keep plastic pieces away from the bottom of the pot so they don't melt. Boil on low heat for 5 minutes. For pacifiers and silicone pieces, 3-5 minutes is enough; longer boiling can wear out the material.

After the time is up, drain the water and remove the pieces with clean tongs, setting them on a clean surface (like a clean cloth) to air dry. Make sure they're completely dry before use; if left damp, bacteria can grow.

Important note: Boiling, especially before first use and weekly, is recommended for babies under 3 months. For older babies, washing in the dishwasher is often enough. If you notice cracks, discoloration, or stickiness on bottles or pacifiers, replace them right away.
