Ingredients

Directions

  1. 1

Wash, peel and dice the sweet potato into small cubes.

  2. 2

Peel the apple, remove the core and cut it into small pieces.

  3. 3

Steam or simmer the sweet potato in a little water until soft, about 12-15 minutes; add the apple pieces in the last few minutes.

  4. 4

Drain the cooked ingredients; mash with a fork or blend until you have a smooth purée.

  5. 5

Loosen the consistency by adding a little boiled, cooled water (or breast milk/formula) at a time.

  6. 6

Once you are sure it is lukewarm, offer it to your baby; start with a small portion at the first tasting.

🌱 Why is it nourishing?

With its beta-carotene (a vitamin A precursor) and fibre, sweet potato can be a gentle addition to your baby's introduction to solids. Apple, with its natural sweetness and fibre, brings the purée to a soft texture your little one may enjoy. Prepared with nothing added, this purée is suitable for single-ingredient tasting from 6 months.
