Strawberry Oat Balls – A Spring Snack for Little Hands
These soft little balls made with fresh strawberries and oats are a no-added-sugar, fuss-free spring snack. Served as a finger food, they're both nutritious and fun.
Ingredients
- 150 gr fresh strawberries
- 100 gr rolled oats (baby-friendly, unsalted)
- 1 piece ripe banana
- 3 tablespoon whole wheat flour
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon butter (for greasing the baking tray)
Directions
- 1
1) Preheat the oven to 180°C. Remove the stems from the strawberries, wash them thoroughly, and pat dry with paper towel.
- 2
2) Mash the banana with a fork until smooth. In a separate bowl, lightly crush the strawberries with a fork, leaving some larger pieces.

3) Combine the mashed banana, crushed strawberries, rolled oats, whole wheat flour, and cinnamon in a large bowl and mix well. The mixture should be firm enough not to stick to your hands — add an extra spoonful of flour if needed.

4) Break off walnut-sized portions of the mixture and roll them into balls between your palms.
- 5
5) Place the balls on a lightly buttered baking tray, leaving a little space between each one.
- 6
6) Bake in the preheated oven for 15–18 minutes, until the tops are lightly golden.
- 7
7) Leave to cool on the tray for 5 minutes — they will firm up a little. Serve warm or at room temperature.
