Directions

  1. 1

Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.

  2. 2

Crumble the low-salt white cheese with a fork and mix in the finely chopped parsley to make the filling.

  3. 3

In a separate bowl, whisk together the egg, milk and olive oil to make the coating mixture.

  4. 4

Cut the pastry sheets into small strips or triangles and lightly dip each piece in the coating mixture.

  5. 5

Place a little cheese filling at the end of each piece and roll or fold into a small roll or triangle.

  6. 6

Arrange the pastries on the tray with space between them, drizzle the remaining mixture over the top and brush with egg yolk if you like.

  7. 7

Bake at 180°C for about 20-25 minutes, until the tops turn golden.

  8. 8

Remove from the oven and let them cool before serving; never serve them hot.

  9. 9

For a 2-year-old, cut into small, bite-sized pieces and serve while your child is seated and supervised.

🌱 Why is it nourishing?

Low-salt white cheese and egg add calcium and quality protein to these little pastries, supporting your 2-year-old's growth. The light carbohydrate from the pastry is a gentle source of energy for an active day. These small, hand-held pieces help your child explore self-feeding.
