A Simple Homemade Baby Toy: A Sensory Cloth Made with Love
In the calm of the evening, making a special toy for your little one from a few pieces of soft fabric can be a lovely hobby. A homemade sensory cloth is both a pleasant break for you and a safe, familiar tool for discovery for your baby. What matters is putting safety first from start to finish.

The most important step in a homemade toy is safety. Avoid small parts that could come loose (beads, buttons, decorations), as these carry a choking risk. Do not use long strings, ribbons or cords. Sew all seams firmly and closely, and close the edges well. Wash the materials before use, and check the toy regularly for wear.

One of the most loved toys is a soft cloth with different textures. Cut a few pieces of organic cotton fabric into squares; you can add a food-safe layer inside for a crinkle sound.
